Advanced intra-oral and light-based therapy

Clinical Buccal Therapy™ is a specialised intra-oral technique designed to directly address muscular dysfunction contributing to TMJ symptoms and facial pain.

Bridging muscular therapy and dentistry

Clinical Buccal Therapy™ was developed to address the muscular component of TMJ dysfunction and facial pain, an area often under-treated in conventional dental pathways.

We collaborate with dental professionals to support patients experiencing:

  • Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD)
  • Bruxism (teeth grinding and clenching)
  • Myofascial facial pain
  • Tension headaches
  • Post-procedural jaw restriction

Our approach is structured, clinically safe, and designed to complement dental treatment plans, not replace them.

This is unlike traditional aesthetic facials

Function-led

Anatomically targeted

Clinically structured

Outcome-driven

The addition of photobiomodulation elevates the treatment beyond manual therapy alone, supporting measurable reduction in inflammation and discomfort.

Clinical Buccal Therapy™

Our treatment is a structured therapeutic intervention targeting the muscles of mastication, fascia, and lymphatic pathways of the face and jaw.

Why we do it

Addressing the muscular component of TMJ dysfunction

TMJ-related disorders are increasing due to stress, bruxism, orthodontic interventions, postural strain, and modern lifestyle habits.

While occlusal splints and dental appliances can help, muscular dysfunction often remains untreated. We exist to:

  • Provide non-invasive muscular intervention
  • Reduce reliance on pain medication
  • Support improved dental outcomes
  • Enhance patient comfort before and after procedures
  • Deliver measurable symptom relief

Pain and dysfunction in the jaw are often muscular in origin and respond to targeted manual and light-based therapy.

Who we treat

We treat adult patients seeking conservative, non-invasive support for pain and dysfunction.

TMJ dysfunction (TMD) and Bruxism (teeth clenching/grinding)

Jaw clicking, locking or limited jaw opening

Chronic facial tension and tension headaches

Tinnitus associated with jaw tension

Sinus pressure linked to facial restriction

Post-dental treatment muscular discomfort

Everything you need to know about Clinical Buccal Therapy™

Clinical Buccal Therapy™ is a specialised, hands-on treatment that works both externally and inside the mouth to release deep facial tension. It combines techniques such as fascia release, lymphatic drainage, and targeted massage to support therapeutic relief.

This treatment is particularly beneficial for those experiencing jaw tension, teeth grinding or clenching, TMJ discomfort, tension headaches, sinus pressure, and even tinnitus. It’s also ideal if you’re simply looking to relieve stress held in the face and improve overall facial wellness.

It’s completely normal to feel a little unsure about this part. The intra-oral work is always carried out gently, hygienically and at your pace. Most clients are surprised by how relaxing it feels, especially when long-held tension begins to release.

Some areas of tension may feel tender during the treatment, but it should never feel overwhelming or painful. Your comfort is always the priority, and pressure can be adjusted at any time to suit you.

Many clients feel immediate relief, lightness, and a sense of calm. You may also notice reduced jaw tension and improved movement. Occasionally, there can be mild tenderness the next day, similar to a deep tissue massage.

This is a results-driven, clinical treatment with therapeutic benefits. The primary focus is on relieving tension, improving function, and supporting long-term facial health.

This depends on your individual needs and concerns. Some clients feel noticeable relief after just one session, while others benefit from a course of treatments to address chronic tension or long-standing issues, and some just love the results so much they come back monthly for maintenance treatments!

Clinical Buccal Therapy™ is suitable for most people, particularly those experiencing jaw discomfort, stress-related tension, or facial tightness. A consultation will always be carried out beforehand to ensure the treatment is right for you.

There are some conditions where treatment may need to be adapted or postponed, such as active infections, recent dental work, sunburn or certain medical conditions. Please let us know ahead of any booking if you are concerned and we will send you over an online consultation form to fill in before the day.
